I started dating around the same time when most people start dating- high school. I was in 9th grade when I
met my first serious boyfriend and like the girls around me, I naturally started developing crushes on the guys in my grade.
This guy was my biggest crush and somewhere around the end of 9th grade he asked me out. I was 12 when this happened.
Now I know what you may think- that's very young, and the fact that he was 15 made it no better. He started school a year late, which isn't
very uncommon and under normal circumstances, no one would question it- in fact, no one did.
Not many people in my grade knew I was much younger because I liked
keeping my age hidden, I always have. It's just very tiring year after year to have to explain people why I am two years younger than them and why I hadn't hit
puberty yet when all the girls in my class had. It's not that I was a late bloomer, I just was much younger. I didn't see the harm in dating this boy when
we spent all our class time together- he was my bench partner. It was never upto me to decide when I grew up and matured, I only went along with
what everyone around me was doing. I was growing up like every other student around me and experiencing the same
kind of lifestyle and responsibilities as them. I too was thinking about what I wanted to do after I leave school and what colleges I would want to get
into. Getting into a very serious relationship that early in my life contributed significantly to how mature I was by the end of tenth grade.
