I've had a lot of conversations with my female friends about how they have started to think of marriage because they would ideally want to get married by the time they are 24 or 25 and every single time it makes me think about if I would be ready "around then" too, except the "then" for me would be at 22. It's funny to me how that's only a year after I turn completely legal but by then I would already have been working full-time for 2 years, which may not be a lot, but it would give me a new perspective on the way I look at things and the way I react or behave.

My dad brings up the topic of marriage every once in a while- specially when we go to a wedding- and every single time, he talks about how he would want me to marry a year or two after graduating, but that just seems so unreal to me. On one hand, he constantly refuses to acknowledge that I am more mature than my age may tell and refuses to give me the freedom but on the other, he is willing to accept that I am mature enough to get married.
