If someone was to ask me how old I think I am or how old I feel, I would say 21 without a second thought. I’ve been living my life as a 21 year old for the past one year and I say that because that’s the burden of responsibilities that I carry. I once looked up things that a person can do once they’re 21 since 21 is considered such a big number. It’s the number where everything changes and you are legally considered an adult. There was a quote from that website that said,
.life your in stress and responsibilities having now of spoils the enjoying involve do to able now are you things the of Most
This quote really hit a spot in my heart because it made me question why I could not enjoy the spoils when I was already bearing the responsibilities and stress as someone else would.
My parents expect the same from me as any 21 year old even if they don’t treat me the same way. I have friends who have started thinking about marriage and once in a while, I do too.
I’ve always been a social person and with the weight of being social and wanting to enjoy life as much as anyone else in my year would, I too have been “illegally” drinking, going to bars, clubs and casinos.
Growing up, dating someone younger than me always felt weird because even the students who were a grade or two below mine were my age or older than me.
